A ten-day residential course at Dhamma Ganga, the Vipassana centre on the bank of the Ganges at Sodepur, about 25 km north of the centre of Kolkata. The centre's schedule calls the 10-day course the introductory one, in which the technique is taught step by step each day. It begins after registration and orientation between 2 and 4 PM on the first day, goes on through ten full days of meditation and ends by 7:30 AM on the eleventh day.
Instruction is in Hindi, English and Bengali. An application has to be sent in and accepted beforehand. All courses run solely on donations.
