What it is

The Jagran Film Festival, Dainik Jagran's travelling film festival, stops in Ranchi for three days at JD Cinema in Hi Street Mall. It opens at 4:00 pm on 9 October with an inaugural ceremony and the film Momacu, followed by short documentaries and the Konkani feature Vaimanik. On 10 October the screenings start at 9:45 am with Chidiya and include Chandni Bar, marking 25 years of the film, with its director Madhur Bhandarkar in conversation at 2:30 pm, and features in Nagpuri, Bhojpuri and Malayalam.

On 11 October there is a conversation with Arbaaz Khan at 11:15 am, a session on AI by Arena Animation at 2:00 pm, and the closing film, Omer Shongi, at 8:00 pm. Seats are first come, first served, entry is for people aged 18 and above, and registration is on BookMyShow. The festival says the schedule may change.
